The second limiting factor is the stage of growth the hair is in at the time of the treatment. There are three distinct phases that a hair goes through during its life cycle. The first being the growing or ‘anagen’ phase, the second ‘catagen’ and the final phase is called ‘telogen’. It is only during the anagen phase that probeless epiliation will be effective. Catagen hairs are still firmly attached inside the skin, but are not lengthening.
